On to June.

So, it looks like another month has flown by in the blink of an eye, and we are already almost half way through June.

I finished up the last post with Mother's Day, and it was lovely as you saw. We ended that night relaxing a little in the hot tub at the temp apartment we were staying in while we waited for our house.

Since that time, we have moved into our house (HOORAY!) and have received all of our house hold goods from the various locations they were coming from (Korea, Florida, Virginia). We are more than half way through unpacking...but I'm not sure if we are any more than that with the organizing and setting up of the house the way we want it. BUT...we are getting there and loving our new (and FIRST EVER OURS) home. We aren't exactly ready for a "virtual tour" of our home, so I will have to wait on that, but I will slip in a pic or two here and there of our house so you can get a glimpse into la Casa de Ryals.

I haven't had a chance to really sort through the pictures, so I will post as I come across the ones I want to share. Sorry for the discombobulation.

On with the photos:

I know it's a little strange starting out with a picture of food, but this was the first one in the chute. It is a Tostito scoops chip filled with chili, cheese, and an avocado chunk. I've been making chili about once a week and it really hasn't gotten old yet. So yummy.
We celebrated Shingyu's 100th day of life in our temp apartments and it turned out very nicely, actually. Here's the 100-day-year-old boy. Looking thrilled with his hat...that looks so tiny on his head.
Here was my first attempt at making baek-sul-gi - a traditional rice cake. It turned out beautifully - but it was not tasty at all because the rice flour needed to be soaked rice flour and we couldn't find any around here.  We just made do with what we could find. But it was presentable!

These two spending some time chatting and cuddling on a towel while the other sisters were swimming at the apartment pool.
Oh, and Shingil finished up second grade here at All Saints' Catholic School and she made the Honor Roll, and she was recognized for perfect attendance, too! So proud of our girl...even through the transition.
I'm not sure why I like this photo, but I just do. This is him lying on my belly practicing tummy time. With his big eyes and crazy hair and all...he has my heart.
This girl...just like her sister before her...watching something on a Kindle in an awkward position.
Happy baby! Big enough to sit in a walker now and can actually scoot around! Doesn't stay long in the seat, but likes the freedom a few minutes at a time!
This picture is actually of cheese curds. Why, you say? Because they were delicious. A friend of ours from this area had ordered a bunch of cheese from Wisconsin and needed to unload some, so of course, we welcomed the distribution.
Sleeping babies...in neckties...this was after church. My sweetheart.
Oh! Jeff and I got to celebrate our 11th anniversary over Memorial Day weekend in Tucson. We stayed at the Westin Las Palomas resort and dined at the Melting Pot of Tucson. What made it even better was "Endless Entrees" because it was Restaurant Week! What a deal!
Hahaha...he's losing a lot of his hair, but he's still so cute. I love this boy.
My little boy.
Baking at altitude in the desert is...a different experience. I baked some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies the other day...and usually they are flat and chewy and amazing. This batch totally turned out very thick and crumbly and beautiful and still delicious - but I need to figure out how to get them back to the old way. Any advice? I'm going to have to do more baking experiments after we are more settled and completely unpacked.
This picture is from when the girls played teacher and students at home and the "students" were giving their "teacher - Shingil" a big hug for being the Best Teacher in the World! Maybe a future career?
This kid...already fits in the kiddie camp chair.
Little brother loves listening to big sister read to him. He's so attentive when she reads to him...really focused.
Getting to enjoy tummy time more and more every day. He's rolled over a few times, but I haven't been able to catch it on video yet! He's scooting forward now - he's got some powerful legs, ya know.
Here's Shingil teaching Shinah how to read a Dick and Jane book.
Shinhae took some swim lessons in preparation for our pool...
Lots of covered playgrounds around, but still too hot to spend much time at one during the day.
Loving the beautiful skies here.
Jeff took the girls up a mountain one evening after their gymnastics class.
This picture was from when we took Shingil out to a special dinner at Texas Road House (her choice) for making the Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance!
And now, here are the few snaps of our house. The front of the house...with a Shingil already weeding in the front yard.
Building the crazy triple bunk.
Done. And one piece left over...
The kitchen before any of our stuff got here.
Chalk drawing of our family by Shingil on our back patio...
We had a movie night outdoors with friends over one night. Hoping to make this a regular thing as long as it's not too terribly hot. At least once the pool is in, there should be no issue with it being too hot.
And...the pool dig...it has been amazing watching them work.
And now, I leave you with this last photo of a turkey walking by Jeff's office building. Hm...Thanksgiving isn't so far away, you know.
Thanks for reading and good night.
