Three months lag...tons of photos.

It appears I keep getting back to this blog every three months or so. Why the three month lag? Who knows...maybe that's about when I feel guilty enough (or need to organize my thoughts and document history)...wish I could get around to it more often, though. Try, try again.

So let's see. The last time I recorded our family's goings-on was back in June. So much has happened since then. Let's quickly go over the major highlights:

1. We fully moved into our house. Still trying to figure out the best kid-bed-sleeping arrangement, and the actual occupants of the beds are still not quite satisfied, so musical beds at nighttime still occur at the moment, but hoping it will come to resolution soon.
These two almost always end up in the same bed because I'm usually there nursing.
Oh, and the pool and rest of the back yard got completed! Mostly!

2. Speaking of rearranging, we finally broke down and decided to try giving our oldest her own room. It has been working out fairly well thus far, and she seems to enjoy the new responsibility and separation from her younger siblings. Here's to hoping it sticks.

3. We celebrated three birthdays!

3a. Jeff's was first and we made it also our house-warming party (but no one brought over toilet paper or dish soap! - alas, we are not in Korea anymore). What was extra special about that party was that Jeff's dad (aka Pops) was able to join us because he was bringing Tay back to us from her solo trip to Florida as part of her summer vacation. Fun times were had.

Jeff's officemates got him this beautiful pink cake.
Everyone showed up for the celebration.
I took him just a short way up a mountain for a brief hike to see the sunrise on his birthday.

And Pops got to join us to celebrate his birthday bash!

3b. Mine was next. A quieter affair with a lovely cake made for me by Tay, my aspiring baker, with green frosting, crowns by Ri, and a shopping trip with the little two (so I would be removed from the house while some setting up was going on). I also got to go on a tour of the Bisbee mine - very cool, by the way.

3c. Ri celebrated her sixth birthday most recently. We held her birthday party in our backyard with some friends, a chocolate fountain and a cotton candy machine. I hadn't made a birthday cake in a long time...but it turned out okay. A piƱata cake with skittles in the middle.

4. Rea did dance camp, and Ri started dance classes once school started.

5. Oh, and school started! For some reason, I don't have any pictures of Tay on her first day of school! What?

6. Oh, and I went on my first ATV ride! What a blast - but man, did my face get covered with dirt!

7. Ah, and fireworks during the 4th of July weekend kicked off monsoon season...which resulted in beautiful rainbows and everything turning green!

8. Q got baptized!

9. AND he also started crawling! Just a few days ago! He's no speedster yet - he's got those thunder thighs to deal with (I feel you, honey), but he's a strong little fella.

In other news, I actually changed employment and went back to work for my old company, Northrop Grumman, doing some very interesting and challenging work - related once again with Korea. How funny that my heritage seems to keep calling me back...fortunately, I will be making some trips out that way once again very soon.

The rest, I suppose, is history - as is all of the above. Just a means to go back every once in a while and look at the good memories...and the associated other emotions that come with living life and walking the path God gave us every day. Hard or easy, happy or sad, in all things we are grateful that we have each other.

Enjoy the rest of the jumble of pictures. I hope they trigger some smiles for you.
