Well, this week has been quite eventful. I felt particularly motivated this week, so the girls and I did many activities and we also had our local Volksfest going on in our town, so that added to the fun!
The weather got much cooler this week, so I changed out most of the girls summer clothes with their fall/winter wear. Since the weather was still beautiful outside, we spent a lot if it in the backyard...doing various activities:
We also did a small scavenger hunt at the lake.
We also did some playing on a new playground. This was Reagan's first ride on a swing. It was still a little big for her, so she only got to enjoy it for a bit, but we did get a few giggles out of her.
Ri, on the other hand, loved this swing because she could go "super-high!"
Tay particularly enjoyed the climbing structures...
And then there was "this"...which we weren't quite sure what to do with...or that thing Ri is lying on...
We made some fruit gummy snacks:
Made some salt dough ornaments:
Smashing the dough...
Oh! It stuck to the pin!
Baked!
And if course...the baby spent a lot of time doing the usual activities:
Bath time!
Chewing on things...
Tummy time...
Almost lifting her lower body to get into a crawling position!
Trying to feed herself...
And of course...sleeping.
We had a visit to Befreiungshalle, or the Hall of Liberation, which was built as a memorial to celebrate the liberation from Napoleon's rule in the 1800s by King Ludwig the First.
The inside was stunning...impossible to capture the enormity or beauty with my camera...
This is at what the girls were looking...
We got to climb all the way to the top level.
The view from the top.
My cuties who didn't complain climbing up all those stairs.
After we came back down. We wandered the grounds a bit and found this little fountain and the girls collected acorns.
No lederhosen or dirndl for baby or me today...
Dinner!
Heading home with the spoils.
Honey wheat bread.
Well, that's all for now! Happy Labor Day! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend.
