This picture below is how we feel right now as we're trying to figure out what our next step is going to be...
We've never really been in this situation, and it wouldn't be so "anxiety-inducing" if it were just Jeff and me, but with the three little strap-hangers, it's a little more...scary. We're not afraid we won't be able to get jobs nor do we have much financial concern (at this time), but just facing the unknown of what our next step is in our lives...that's what's scary. Not knowing where we will live next...not knowing if the job we will do next will be one that will be enjoyed or tolerated? Not knowing if the neighborhood we will live in next will be one we will love or one where we will keep searching for where to live next? So much unknown...But...lucky for us...we've got these silly ones to keep us grounded.
And happy.
And not so worried about the future because when we are together, we are happy and we can learn to love any future where God leads us.
On with a quick update. Here, Tay is passing out tickets for entry into her costume party...we were all "force" invited...but it was fun. Games and dancing for all...even her dressed-up animals.
Sometimes it's exhausting being a 3-year-old. This cracked me up.
We got a Valentine's Day card from my mom...and it was hilarious. The cupcake sings and its eyes just go crazy. And at the end, it yells "I LOVE YOU!" in a way that just makes everyone giggle.
Reagan exploring her card.
Beers for when we were expecting some friends to come over...
Baggo and bonfire...goes well together...as long as the toss doesn't go awry.
A picture Tay brought home from school. See the thing next to the snowman's broomstick? It's a "post" where a bird is standing on top of it to chat with the snowman.
Working on Valentine's day cards for her classmates.
Lots of writing.
The finished Valentines.
Ri worked on drawing some fish in her "ocean" (because she had blue paper). She asked me to show her how to draw a fish, so I drew the one on top, and she drew the one on the bottom - she told me her fish had a long tail because it was a girl fish...Cute, no?
Then, she flipped over the page and told me to draw another fish. And she drew another one, too...but this time, this one was a whale.
Her whale jumping out of the water.
Then, she flipped the paper back over and drew another baby whale to talk to the other fish. She said she really likes drawing fish now. I didn't tell her that whales weren't fish...
Rea has finally grown enough hair to hold a hair bow! She doesn't leave it in for long...She enjoys hiding under blankets.
And she loves bath times...when I'm getting the bath ready, she's already trying to take off her diaper...
Or trying to get in herself.
...then demanding my assistance because she can't get in herself.
We continued to walk to school on a fairly regular basis...as long as I could get them dressed and out the door with enough time to walk.
Selfie.
Valentine's Day cookies for the class! Pre-bake.
Post-bake.
Decorating...
Uh...not sure how this fits in here...but she sleeps in the funniest positions...
Finished products! Aren't they lovely. And the girls did most of the decorating!
Girls selfie.
Little one was still tired one morning...so she kept doing this.
It looks like she's stretching for ballet...
Love these girls...
...so much.
Hahah...this one looks like the baby has the spoon on her nose! (Don't worry, she didn't fall backwards, although it looks like she's mid-fall!)
Tay recently asked me to show her how to sew...so I did. With felt and my most blunt needle.
She finished it! And she was so proud of herself for not sticking herself...pretty even stitches, no?
Howdy.
We did a little fine-motor skills work this week by putting pompoms into a container. Sometimes she just threw it at the container...like you see here.
Other times, she actually put the pompom right into the hole.
She often wanted to go outside when the big sisters played out there...but it was too chilly or muddy out there for me to dress her and take her outside...so she just watched from the window. Lazy momma...
We had some dress-up dance parties this week...the girls LOVE to twirl...
Thought the sky looked strange on our drive to Munich this weekend...all cloudy and suddenly nothing...like someone took a squeegee and cleaned just a bit of the sky...
Crazy sun behind some blurry clouds...
Jeff's Valentine's Day gift to me! YAY!!!!!! We had so much fun...
KOOZA!
Leaving Munich after the show, we saw this lovely arch...
...and this giant man-statue...
And a super-eerie full moon...I couldn't get a good photo of it with my phone. But if you see the cloud streak beside it, there's another one on the right side creating a sort of "V". I blamed the full moon for the crazy children at church on Sunday morning...all the children were crazy that Sunday...not just mine. :)
Ri's drawing of TV-self.
And...I guess that was the last photo...weird. I think my photos might be out of order. Anyhow, hope you enjoyed this jumbled post since you got no writing last week...at least this one had some writing, right?
We'll keep you all posted as to what is going on with our situation, but as for now, we're out of Germany in the next few weeks (SAD), but we are hoping to be back soon enough...
